December is the most awaited month of all children because it means that it’s Christmas season again and they will be receiving many presents and gifts from their parents, aunts and uncles and grandparents. Apparently she can’t do it because she doesn’t have enough time going to different malls and Christmas stores due to her very busy and hectic schedules at the office.
So it really made her very sad because her two kids are very excited to help her decorate their Christmas tree and put the star on the top of it. But she doesn’t want to disappoint her kids so she has decided to search on the internet for the easiest, most convenient and accessible way of buying Christmas decor. And luckily she has found out that online shopping of beautiful and elegant Christmas decorations is the most accessible, easiest and convenient way of buying. When I was a child costumes were made from articles of clothing we could find in our Dad or Mom’s closet. Now, it would seem you must spend quite a bit of money and find just the right costume before you head out to beg for treats. When did all this change? When did it become necessary to spend a fortune on a Halloween costume? What happened to children’s imagination and creativity? It was fun for us to become anything we envisioned. A Princess, a hobo, a ghost, a cowboy! For all the wonderful and unique experiences afforded children today, I feel that they have lost their sense of creativity. Instead of allowing our children to use their imagination, we tell them what to do and how to do it. There isn’t any down time. Their lives are filled with running from one activity to another. I suppose it’s just easier to buy the Halloween Costume on the way home from an activity. I vote for allowing our children to once again be truly creative and have time to sit and dream and imagine what they’d like to be for Halloween!

It’s hard to believe that my little girl is going to her senior prom. A few of her friends and my daughter are hosting a party after the prom. We will be shopping for prom garters and favors for prom. Also, I am picking up some wedding items my best friend’s daughter’s wedding which are a wedding garter and wedding favors. I don’t want to spend a fortune, so I am thinking about going to discount prom favors. That should help keep the cost down a bit.
